The Cyprus Supreme Court has rejected a request by German real estate agent Eva Isabella Kunzel to annul an interim decision and suspend her trial. Kunzel, held in custody since her July 2024 arrest, faces charges for illegally advertising Greek Cypriot properties in the occupied north.

The defense had challenged the legality of four European search warrants used to gather testimony from German authorities, claiming procedural violations that infringed on Kunzel's right to a fair trial. However, Judge Alexandros Panayiotou dismissed these claims, noting the defendant failed to provide a valid reason for not appealing earlier.

With the court's decision to deny the application, the trial before the Nicosia criminal court will proceed without interruption.
