A 21-year-old man was arrested in Larnaca after police found cannabis and cocaine in his possession during a routine check on Saturday morning. Authorities stopped the motorcycle, which lacked registration plates, and discovered 18 packages of dried cannabis weighing 78 grams, a package of cocaine weighing 3 grams, and a precision scale in storage compartments under the seat.

The man was taken to Larnaca police headquarters for questioning on suspicion of drug possession with intent to supply. Additionally, police found that he was driving without a licence or insurance. A preliminary drug test on the driver returned positive results. The individual also faces traffic offence investigations.

The anti-drug unit (YKAN) and Larnaca police are continuing their inquiries as part of the ongoing investigation.
