A 49-year-old Greek Cypriot man is in critical condition and intubated at Nicosia General Hospital following an accident involving an air conditioning compressor explosion. The incident occurred around 5:30 PM yesterday in the Strovolos area of Nicosia, where the man was working outside a building repairing the compressor.

Emergency services transported the severely injured man to the hospital's Intensive Care Unit. Police, firefighters, and officials from the Department of Labour Inspection are investigating the circumstances surrounding the explosion. The Nicosia Central Police Station, together with the Labour Inspection Department, is conducting a detailed inquiry to determine how the accident happened.
