💊 Cyprus ranks first worldwide in voluntary unpaid blood donation per capita

Cyprus has been ranked first globally for voluntary unpaid blood donation relative to its population size, according to the Health Ministry. The country collected 74,279 units of blood, positioning it at the top of international per capita rankings. This achievement reflects the strong sense of solidarity and social responsibility among Cypriot citizens.

The ministry emphasized that voluntary blood donation is a critical pillar of the health system, helping to ensure adequate supplies for hospitals and emergency situations. Regular donor participation supports the proper functioning of healthcare services across the island.
