A fire that broke out on Monday afternoon within the Lympia municipal district was brought under full control before it could spread, the forestry department said. The blaze erupted at around 5 pm and firefighting efforts involved six forestry personnel with two fire engines, along with six members of the fire service using two additional fire engines. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
