Dance House Lefkosia in Nicosia is hosting a Japanese Butoh dance workshop on July 5 and 6, led by Paris-based dancer and teacher Maki Watanabe. The workshop welcomes participants of all experience levels to explore this contemporary dance-theatre art form.

The sessions will focus on movement, perception, and embodied attention, offering exercises that encourage new forms of presence and sensory connection between bodies, space, and images. Butoh dance emphasizes listening to the body and cultivating an awareness of time and space.

The workshop runs from 10am to 2pm on Saturday and 4pm to 8pm on Sunday, with a fee of €90 for both days or €50 for a single day. Interested individuals can register via email or phone with Dance House Lefkosia.
