👮 Police Conduct Nationwide Patrols in Cyprus Leading to Four Arrests and Hundreds of Traffic Violations

Cyprus police intensified their presence across urban areas last night, conducting organized patrols to prevent serious crimes and ensure public order. These operations resulted in the arrest of four individuals on charges including illegal stay in the country and traffic offenses.

During the night, officers stopped and checked 398 drivers and 133 passengers. Simultaneously, 42 premises were inspected, leading to six reports of violations. Traffic enforcement yielded 247 citations, with notable offenses including 65 speeding violations and the detention of seven vehicles.

Additionally, 91 alcohol tests found no positive cases, while two drivers tested preliminarily positive for narcotics. Police operations aimed at crime prevention and maintaining public safety will continue daily with enhanced patrols and targeted controls to boost citizen security and public order.
