🌍 Cyprus President Christodoulides Meets US Lawmakers to Boost Strategic Partnership

President Nikos Christodoulides met with a bipartisan group of US lawmakers at the presidential palace in Nicosia on Saturday to discuss strengthening the strategic relationship between Cyprus and the United States. The meeting, attended by representatives Nathaniel Moran, Jim Costa, Brendan Boyle, and Craig Goldman, was part of the 91st Transatlantic Legislators’ Dialogue held in Nicosia on June 19 and 20.

Key topics included enhancing cooperation in energy, investment, defense, and security, as well as regional and international developments, including the Cyprus problem and Middle East tensions. Christodoulides emphasized Cyprus' commitment to deepening transatlantic ties, a priority during its EU Council presidency.

The US delegation praised Cyprus for its role in promoting regional security and stability. Following the meeting, Christodoulides described the discussions as a valuable exchange that highlights the enduring importance of the Cyprus-US partnership and transatlantic cooperation.
