The Health Insurance Organization (HIO) in Cyprus is prioritizing the improvement and simplification of beneficiary access to the Gesy platform via mobile devices. Monica Kyriakou, the HIO's director of services, stated that this upgrade is expected to reduce the administrative burden on personal doctors, who frequently handle routine tasks like referrals from patients. Additionally, the organization is reviewing the possibility of expanding the range of medicines that personal doctors can prescribe, which are currently limited to specialists. This move aims to further streamline healthcare services and improve patient care efficiency.
