⚔️ Israel Weapon Industries showcases cutting-edge anti-drone and through-wall radar technologies amid rising global demand
Israel Weapon Industries (IWI) recently opened its Kiryat Gat complex to journalists, unveiling innovative defense technologies aiding Israel's status as a global high-tech hub. Among highlights was the ARBEL anti-drone system, an advanced computerized fire control upgrade for standard rifles, enhancing soldiers' ability to counter fast, maneuverable drones by optimizing shot timing without additional equipment. Already adopted by 15 European countries, ARBEL exemplifies modern battlefield adaptation to emerging threats.
Additionally, Camero-Tech, part of the Israeli SK Group, demonstrated its XAVER™ radar family, capable of detecting human presence and movement through walls and debris. This technology has critical applications in urban warfare, hostage rescue, and search-and-rescue operations, having been deployed after natural disasters and missile strikes to save lives by providing tactical intelligence otherwise impossible to obtain.
IWI also highlighted its close defense ties with Cyprus, where its TAVOR X95 rifles and NEGEV light machine guns are in use by Cypriot special forces. The visit emphasized how Israeli defense innovations are tailored to meet diverse operational needs, blending cutting-edge science with practical soldier-centric solutions on the battlefield and beyond.
