👮 15 Arrests Made in Police Operations Across Cyprus with 344 Traffic Violations Recorded
Cyprus police conducted extensive operations across urban areas, resulting in 15 arrests for various offenses including illegal residence, burglary, and traffic violations. Authorities checked 750 citizens and premises in efforts to prevent major crimes and maintain public order.
Traffic enforcement was a significant focus with 341 traffic violations reported, of which 125 were for speeding. Police also conducted 110 alcohol checks leading to three positive cases and two drug tests with one positive result. A total of 538 vehicles were stopped, 713 drivers and passengers inspected, and 18 vehicles were impounded.
These targeted policing activities aim to enhance public safety and continue daily with reinforced presence and operational readiness to protect citizens and uphold law and order throughout Cyprus.
