💰 CySEC warns investors about unauthorised investment websites
The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) has issued a warning to investors regarding several websites that are not operated by entities authorised under Cyprus law to provide investment services or carry out investment activities. The commission identified multiple platforms, including solartecna.com, lucrativeedges.com, optramarket.com, and harvestsphereonline.com, which lack the necessary licences for investment services within the European Union.
Additional websites flagged by CySEC as unauthorised include pehjosf.com, irafloxi.com, evpmarketgroup.com, aintelligence24.com, primeinvests.eu, as well as fxmaple.com, fxmarketstrade.com, derivinvestments.com, 24yield.com, and xmarketcoin.com. The regulator emphasized the importance of exercise caution when dealing with investment service providers and advised investors to consult the official CySEC website to verify the licensing status of any firm before engaging in financial dealings.
CySEC underscored that its online register provides a reliable way to confirm which individuals and entities hold valid authorisations under Article 5 of Law 87(I)/2017, helping to protect investors from potential fraud or unauthorized operations in the securities market.
