🎉 Gloria Gallery Hosts Retrospective Exhibition of Late Cypriot Artist Paris Sivakas Until July 2
Gloria Gallery in Nicosia is currently holding a retrospective exhibition dedicated to the late Cypriot painter and iconographer Paris Sivakas, who passed away in 2018. The exhibition runs until July 2 and presents works from various stages of Sivakas’ artistic career, including paintings, portraits, still life, mixed media, and Byzantine iconography pieces. This showcase celebrates his unique fusion of Greek and Mediterranean traditions.
Born in Nicosia in 1959, Sivakas studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts and was influenced by ancient Greek art and Byzantine iconography. His creations are known for their precise craftsmanship and poetic atmosphere, offering a contemplative view on memory and nostalgia. Over his career, he exhibited both in Cyprus and Greece, and his works are part of several public and private collections.
The retrospective provides a rare opportunity to explore Sivakas’ artistic evolution and legacy. The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday from 10:30am to 12:30pm and 6pm to 7:30pm, and Saturdays from 10:30am to 12:30pm. The opening night was held at 7:30pm on June 17.
