Turkey's Defence Minister Yasar Guler sharply criticized the recently signed status of forces agreement between the Republic of Cyprus and France, stating it violates international law and disrupts regional stability. The agreement, which permits France to station troops on Cypriot soil, was signed earlier this month by French Armed Forces Minister Catherine Vautrin and Cypriot Defence Minister Vasilis Palmas.
