A 40-year-old man was arrested in Limassol early this morning following a knife attack that seriously injured a 45-year-old man. The victim was admitted to Limassol General Hospital with a stab wound to the shoulder and has undergone surgery. His condition remains serious.

According to the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department, the attacker had called the victim during the night to settle a personal dispute. The victim arrived at the suspect's home with two relatives, where the 40-year-old assaulted him with a knife and spray.

Before his arrest, the suspect was treated and discharged from a private hospital for a head injury. He now faces charges including grievous bodily harm and carrying a knife. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
