The ministry stressed the Republic’s policy balancing protection for eligible individuals, rule of law, and responsible migration management.
The ministry highlighted efforts to strengthen procedures for timely examination of international protection applications, in line with Cyprus' obligations and public interest. It also praised the new European pact on migration and asylum, which took effect on June 12, calling it a significant development promoting solidarity and balanced responsibility among EU member states, especially those facing frontline migratory pressures.
