The municipality of Paralimni-Deryneia announced plans to install live cameras and meteorological stations at its organised beaches to enhance services for bathers and visitors. This initiative will provide real-time information on beach conditions, including live images, weather updates, and water temperature, helping visitors better plan their outings.

The new technology aims to improve the overall experience for beachgoers by offering convenient access to important data remotely. Paralimni-Deryneia recently earned 18 Blue Flags for its beaches, the highest number awarded to any municipality on the island, highlighting the quality and environmental standards of its coastal areas.

Officials expect the system to be fully operational soon, marking a significant upgrade in how beach information is communicated and reinforcing the municipality’s commitment to tourism and public service improvements.
