President Nikos Christodoulides met a bipartisan delegation of four US senators at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia on Saturday to emphasize strengthening the upgraded strategic relationship between Cyprus and the United States. The delegation, including Nathaniel Moran, Jim Costa, Brendan Boyle, and Craig Goldman, was in Cyprus for the 91st Transatlantic Legislators’ Dialogue held on June 19 and 20.

During the meeting, Christodoulides highlighted Cyprus's efforts to deepen transatlantic relations, a key priority of the country's Presidency of the EU Council. Discussions also covered bilateral cooperation in energy, investment, defense, and security.

The two sides reviewed developments regarding the Cyprus problem, regional security issues in the Middle East, and other international matters. The US senators praised Cyprus's contributions to regional security and stability, underscoring the importance of ongoing cooperation between the two nations.
