This research introduces a hybrid AI framework combining mathematical interpolation and transformer-based machine learning to accurately reconstruct hypersonic wall-pressure signals from sparse data. The interpretable, physics-grounded approach addresses challenges in modelling high-speed aerodynamic environments, offering applications in aerospace and defense research.

Professor Dimitris Drikakis highlighted the significance of this recognition, noting that the framework advances high-fidelity modelling where direct measurements are costly and limited. The study underscores UNIC's commitment to pioneering research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and engineering science, aiming to accelerate development in complex aerospace systems.
