Cypriot company SignalGeneriX Ltd and French firm Aerix Systems have partnered to develop the AXS-S1 SPIDER-AI, a cutting-edge dual-use drone interceptor designed for autonomous detection and neutralization of hostile unmanned aircraft. The collaboration was formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed at the French Ambassador's residence in Cyprus, marking the start of a joint self-funded development and prototyping program.

The drone features onboard data processing powered by SignalGeneriX's SGX EDGE-AI system, which integrates a powerful NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX processor to operate three image sensors simultaneously, enabling precise tracking in challenging conditions such as low visibility. The drone can reach speeds up to 200 km/h, function in strong winds, and quickly deploy pneumatic net launchers to capture targets autonomously.

Designed for deployment across various environments including airports, critical infrastructure, and military bases, the AXS-S1 offers rapid response capabilities and can operate solo or in swarms from air, land, or sea platforms. Its versatile applications emphasize enhanced perimeter security and protection of high-value sites.
