The municipality of Paphos has initiated cleanup and improvement efforts in the Anavargos area following the identification of serious maintenance and safety concerns near the community kindergarten. Overgrown vegetation, neglected public spaces, and unpruned trees posed risks to daily users, especially young children.

Authorities also highlighted two abandoned houses near the kindergarten that were reportedly accessed illegally, raising concerns among residents and parents about potential antisocial activity. The municipality is addressing these issues with cleaning, pruning, and ongoing maintenance to enhance safety and restore the area.

In addition to the Anavargos works, pavement upgrades are underway near the Paphos hospital roundabout to improve road safety and accessibility for pedestrians and drivers alike.
