The 2026 Cyprus-China Film Week concluded successfully on June 15 in Nicosia, marking the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Cyprus. The six-day cultural event was jointly organized by the Chinese embassy in Cyprus, the National Film Administration of China, and the Cypriot deputy ministry of culture.

The festival's closing highlight was the premiere of the Chinese martial arts film "Blades of the Guardians: Wind Rises in the Desert," featuring stars Wu Jing and Chen Lijun. Both actors engaged with local audiences and participated in a sharing session, emphasizing the power of sincere storytelling and cultural integration. The event showcased Chinese artistry and strengthened cross-cultural ties.

Nearly 200 distinguished guests attended the closing ceremony, including senior Chinese and Cypriot officials, diplomats, and representatives from the local community.
