Nicosia Municipal Theatre is introducing a new free-entry event series called "On the Side," set to take place on the last Sunday of each month from June 28 through August. The venue’s outdoor areas and garden will be converted into an open-air summer space featuring music, cocktails, stand-up comedy, and screenings, creating a relaxed Sunday atmosphere.

The series kicks off on Sunday, June 28, with a jazz-themed event called "Jazz on the Side," running from 17:00 to 23:00. This opening night will showcase three of Cyprus's most dynamic jazz groups: Trio in Cahoots, Charis Ioannou Quartet, and Chunky Funky, performing a mix of jazz standards and contemporary funk-influenced rhythms. The programme is curated by Christos Yerolatsitis.

An outdoor bar will serve drinks and cocktails throughout the evening, and admission is completely free, inviting residents and visitors alike to enjoy the cultural offerings at the heart of Nicosia.
