A fire is currently burning in the area of the Tseri ring road in Nicosia, with efforts underway to contain it. Four fire engines from the Nicosia district, supported by one Department of Forests vehicle, are actively tackling the blaze. The fire is consuming dry grass, wild vegetation, piles of waste material, and a makeshift shed constructed from corrugated metal sheets.

Initial assessments suggest the fire originated inside the shed before spreading to the surrounding waste piles and vegetation. Firefighters continue to work to prevent the fire from expanding further and to protect nearby properties and natural areas.
