Despite Cyprus Airways’ return to normal operations, many other carriers continue to suspend or delay flights to Middle Eastern destinations due to ongoing regional tensions. Major airlines like AEGEAN, Air Canada, Air France-KLM, Delta, Lufthansa, and British Airways have extended cancellations or postponed the resumption of routes to cities including Tel Aviv, Dubai, Doha, Riyadh, and Beirut. These disruptions are causing continued challenges for global travel.

The varying durations of suspensions reflect caution as diplomatic efforts try to ease the conflict triggered by recent U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran. Airlines are closely monitoring the situation, with many delaying or scaling down services throughout the summer and fall in response to security risks and airspace restrictions.
