The party emphasized the need for a clear and strict timetable, proposing completion of the investigation within three months, utilizing existing work and materials.

The government announced plans to appoint an independent investigator, but deputy government spokesman Yiannis Antoniou clarified that this was only an intention at this stage. Discussions on the investigator's identity and whether they would be brought from abroad will occur after the legal service receives the full report.

Opposition party Akel remained skeptical, questioning the sincerity of Disy's calls and expressing concern that the prosecutor's office remains influenced by Anastasiades' administration. Akel challenged Disy’s leadership on their commitment to transparency and accountability in the investigation.
