🍽️ Koilani to Celebrate Tradition with Glytzisto Festival on July 5

Koilani village will host the Glytzisto Festival on Sunday, July 5, 2026, celebrating Cypriot tradition and cuisine with a focus on the iconic local sweet, glytzisto. The event runs from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Koilani Events Venue, featuring traditional music, dance, and activities for children.

The official program starts at 3:00 p.m. with speeches from community and government representatives, including the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, Maria Panayiotou. Former community leader Apostolos Yiannakas will also be honored for his long service.

Visitors can enjoy demonstrations of glytzisto preparation, sample local products, and witness the creation of the first jumbo glytzisto and new versions cooked on a stove. Traditional food stalls and souvenirs will also be available. Organized by the Koilani Women's Cultural Association with the Community Council, admission is free for all.
