Members of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) held a meeting with Finance Minister Makis Keravnos to discuss pressing economic challenges impacting the country. Key issues included the energy crisis significantly increasing operational costs for local businesses and the effects of the Middle East conflict on Cyprus’s tourism sector.

The discussion also covered the outbreak of foot and mouth disease, focusing on its impact on agriculture, supply chains, and the wider commercial market. Inflation concerns were prominent, with participants considering measures to protect household disposable income and improve the competitiveness of local firms.

Following the meeting, Minister Keravnos reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting the economy and collaborating with Keve, while Keve president Stavros Stavrou highlighted the importance of timely and targeted interventions to sustain economic viability and growth in Cyprus.
