The municipality sent a formal 11-point letter to the transport ministry requesting corrective actions to improve the ongoing projects, emphasizing the need for practical and effective implementation. The decision followed widespread concerns from residents and motorists regarding the bollards' impact on aesthetics, accessibility, and traffic flow. The issue gained attention after a video showed a driver manually removing several bollards.

A meeting between municipal authorities and the transport ministry, led by Minister Alexis Vafeades, is scheduled to discuss potential adjustments to the mobility plan.
