Bilbay Eminoglu, a prominent Turkish Cypriot journalist and founder of the news website Giynik, died on Tuesday at the age of 49. He had been in intensive care since last Wednesday due to cardiac and respiratory failure. Eminoglu was well-known for his dedication to journalism, having made significant contributions to the Turkish Cypriot press through his role as editor-in-chief. The Cyprus Turkish journalists’ association praised his diligence and productivity, noting that his impact on the profession will not be forgotten. They also extended condolences to Eminoglu's family and colleagues at Giynik.
