A motorcycle was completely destroyed in a fire in the Akaki village of the Nicosia district shortly after midnight on Tuesday. Authorities said the motorcycle, left on a local football pitch, caught fire around 12:15 a.m., prompting firefighters to rush to the scene. Despite their efforts, the vehicle was entirely consumed by the flames.

Police have characterized the fire as deliberately started and have cordoned off the area for investigation. Efforts to determine the cause and identify those responsible are ongoing.
