A notable trend within Cyprus is that female graduates surpassed males in employment, with rates of 83.3% and 81.3% respectively, which deviates from the broader EU pattern where male employment rates are generally higher. Across the EU, graduates with tertiary education experienced an employment rate of 87.0%, significantly higher than those with medium-level education at 77.2%.

Malta led the EU with the highest employment rate among recent graduates at 91.0%, followed by Germany and the Netherlands. On the other end, countries such as Greece, Italy, and Romania reported the lowest employment rates for young graduates, highlighting regional disparities within the union.
