📰 Polls closed normally across Cyprus and abroad; exit polls permitted
The General Electoral Officer announced that voting concluded normally at all polling stations in Cyprus and abroad for both the 2026 Parliamentary Elections and the election of the Representative of the Maronite religious community. Polling stations closed on schedule with no reported incidents, covering domestic polling stations and Cypriot voting centres overseas. Officials confirmed that both contests proceeded as planned.
Consequently, the publication of exit polls is now permitted; these surveys, conducted outside polling stations, are intended to provide early projections of the electoral outcome. Authorities said they will announce final voter turnout percentages for the Parliamentary Elections shortly, and preliminary results from small polling centres are expected to be released soon as counting begins.
