📰 Cyprus parties show cautious optimism as legislative exit polls published

Political parties across Cyprus reported cautious optimism and satisfaction after the publication of legislative election exit polls, while officials stressed they will wait for official results to confirm seat allocations. The Democratic Rally (DISY) said the exit poll figures matched internal polling and refrained from celebratory statements as supporters gathered outside party headquarters. The Progressive Party of Working People (AKEL) welcomed signs it could maintain or increase its share, noting no poll placed it below 21 per cent. The National People’s Front (ELAM) saw projected growth to 10.5–12.5 per cent, a notable rise from 2021, and the Democratic Party (DIKO) appears to hold fourth place, signaling centrist stability.

Smaller and newer formations also reacted positively but guardedly. ALMA members cheered projections indicating parliamentary entry, EDEK expressed cautious optimism pending official counts, DIPA voiced quiet confidence after past polling errors, and Volt estimated the polls could translate into up to three seats. All parties emphasized reliance on final tallies and the official vote count before issuing definitive statements.
