An open participatory mural by French artist Mathieu Devavry will take place on May 23 in the village of Malounta, Nicosia district, inviting the public to add their own marks to a large-scale wall between 4pm and 7pm at the Malounta Community Amphitheatre. The event is free to attend but requires prior registration; participants may write, spray, draw and leave symbols and gestures across the surface in the lead-up to the mural's unveiling.

Organisers say the intervention explores themes of peace, coexistence, transformation and everyday life, aiming to turn the wall into a meeting point for dialogue and collective expression rather than mere decoration. Materials suitable for all ages, including child-friendly sprays, brushes and tools, will be available on the day. Residents, children, visitors and people from across Cyprus are invited to take part and contribute thoughts and marks to the evolving public artwork.
