Thunderstorms and hail are expected in parts of Cyprus today, with rain and isolated storms developing gradually and mainly affecting the mountains, inland areas and the southeast, the Meteorological Department said. Hail is likely during storms. Winds will start light and variable around force 3 before shifting southwest to northwest and becoming light to moderate at force 3–4, while exposed coasts may see temporary gusts to force 5. The sea will be slightly rough. Daytime highs will reach about 26°C inland, around 24°C on the southern and eastern coasts, 22°C on the western and northern coasts, and 14°C in the higher mountains.

Tonight will be mostly clear though low cloud may build locally and patchy fog could form in the early morning. Night winds will blow from the northwest to northeast, and from the southeast along the northern coast, remaining light at around force 3. The sea will be calm to slightly rough.
