Voters in the Drosia area of Larnaca, particularly elderly residents, complained today after a decision to separate displaced voters from local residents led to polling being split between two primary schools that face each other. Many people arrived at the school where they traditionally voted only to be told their designated polling room was across the street, prompting confusion, delays and difficulty locating the correct venue.

In a televised report an elderly couple said they would refuse to vote because of the disruption, and several voters spoke to reporters about their frustrations. Polling station staff were working to assist and direct those unaware of the changes, helping people find the correct rooms so they could cast their ballots despite the disruption.
