🌍 Turkey denies canceling Foreign Minister Fidan's Kazakhstan visit over Cyprus dispute

Turkish diplomatic sources have categorically denied reports claiming that Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan canceled a planned visit to Kazakhstan due to diplomatic disagreements linked to the Republic of Cyprus. They labeled these claims as completely unfounded and stated that Fidan's current tour was always intended to focus solely on East and Southeast Asian countries.

The allegations originated from a Cypriot TV report, which suggested that Fidan's sudden cancellation was connected to contacts between the Kazakh capital and the Cypriot president and delegation. However, Turkish sources emphasized that no such visit was scheduled in the near future and accused some groups of attempting to portray a diplomatic rift between Turkey and Kazakhstan.

They highlighted that Fidan recently conducted official visits to Singapore, Indonesia, and South Korea, focused on trade, defense cooperation, and regional relations. The sources further underscored the strong ongoing ties between Ankara and Astana, noting a recent Turkish diplomatic delegation visit to Kazakhstan and high-level talks within the Turkic Council in Turkestan city.
