🎉 Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation Hosts Archaeology and Nature Events for European Archaeology Days 2026

As part of European Archaeology Days 2026, the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation (BoCCF) will host a series of free events and workshops from June 12 to 14 at their venue in Old Nicosia. The themed activities, titled "Animals-Plants-Archaeology," aim to educate adults, families, and children about Cyprus's rich cultural heritage, archaeology, and natural environment.

Highlights include a guided tour of the "Cyprus Insula" exhibition focusing on representations of flora and fauna, led by experts from Terra Cypria and the exhibition curators. An open-air documentary screening titled "The World is Shrinking," about the Cypriot cow's historic role, will be followed by discussions with archaeologists and agricultural researchers. Additional workshops explore animal and floral motifs on Cypriot coins and introduce children to archaeological science through hands-on activities.

All events require prior reservation and are designed to deepen understanding of Cyprus's archaeological and environmental heritage, blending education with creative engagement. Organized by BoCCF in collaboration with local and international cultural and scientific institutions, these programs continue to promote awareness and appreciation of the island's past and natural landscape.
