These high-risk sites are spread across all five districts, with 19 in Nicosia, 14 in Larnaca, eight in Limassol, five in Paphos, and two in Famagusta. Each site was classified based on the number of fatal, serious, and other collisions recorded annually.
In response, police have enhanced surveillance and enforcement measures at the identified locations, notifying all relevant authorities to undertake necessary interventions. Notable hotspots include major avenues and junctions such as Nicosia’s 28th October Avenue, Limassol’s Franklin Roosevelt Avenue junction, and Larnaca’s Archbishop Makarios III Avenue intersections.
