A new project called AI-XRAY has been launched in Cyprus to help young people and educators understand and use artificial intelligence safely and responsibly. The initiative, led by Vernian RTI Ltd with support from Cyprus Telecommunications Authority (Cyta), focuses on ethical AI use, eliminating bias, and promoting informed digital participation.

As part of Cyta's digital inclusion program 'I Am Equal Here,' AI-XRAY aims to equip a new generation with the skills to critically and responsibly use AI tools while recognizing both their benefits and risks. Vernian RTI, along with partners GC School of Careers and Novum International, is developing specialized educational modules and an interactive platform to enhance understanding of AI explainability and ethical use.

The project, presented on May 11 at Cyta’s Nicosia headquarters during World Telecommunications Day, will also gather feedback from students and educators to continuously improve training relevance. This initiative underscores Cyta's ongoing commitment to digital inclusion, responsible technology use, and innovation in Cyprus.
