🎉 Legendary pianist Cyprien Katsaris to headline Cyprus Symphony Orchestra's June 30 concert in Nicosia
The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra will close the cultural programme celebrating Cyprus' presidency of the EU Council with a spectacular concert on June 30 at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre. Renowned virtuoso pianist Cyprien Katsaris will perform two major works by Franz Liszt, including the Fantasy on Themes from Beethoven’s The Ruins of Athens and the Hungarian Fantasy for Piano and Orchestra, showcasing his poetic sensitivity and electrifying virtuosity. Under the baton of new artistic director Myron Michailidis, the orchestra will also present a vibrant selection of famous dances by Johann Strauss II, Georges Bizet, Johannes Brahms, and Antonín Dvořák, creating a rich mosaic of European musical traditions. This will be the orchestra's final concert for the summer season. Audiences can also enjoy a joint performance by the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra and the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra on June 6 as part of the 25th International Pharos Chamber Music Festival in Delikipos.
