🛩️ President Nikos Christodoulides makes historic first official visit to Kazakhstan
President Nikos Christodoulides departed from Larnaca International Airport on Tuesday afternoon, embarking on the first direct Air Astana flight to Astana, marking the inaugural visit by a Cypriot head of state to Kazakhstan. Upon arrival, he is scheduled to be officially received at 21:15 local time.
The visit's agenda includes high-level meetings, notably with the President of Kazakhstan, and the signing of multiple memoranda of understanding focused on enhancing cooperation in areas such as higher education, research, culture, sport, ICT, cybersecurity, and e-governance. Additionally, a memorandum will be signed between the Cyprus and Kazakhstan Chambers of Commerce.
President Christodoulides will also inaugurate the new offices of the Cyprus Embassy in Astana. Accompanying him are key ministers and officials, including the Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos and Energy Minister Michalis Damianos, highlighting the visit's significance in strengthening bilateral relations.
