The Water Development Department of Cyprus has initiated a nationwide distribution of free water-saving equipment, beginning in the Paphos district. Approximately 75,000 packs, each containing four tap aerators and two shower flow reducers, are being provided to households and businesses to help reduce water consumption.

The distribution to commercial premises with high water usage started earlier this year and will continue in phases until the equipment reaches all parts of the island. In total, the initiative aims to distribute two million tap aerators and one million shower flow reducers across Cyprus.

Authorities emphasize that these devices can lower water usage by up to 30% without compromising user comfort, supporting ongoing efforts to manage water resources efficiently amid changing climate conditions.
