👮 Four arrests and hundreds of checks in nationwide police operations across Cyprus
The Cyprus Police conducted intensive operations across the country last night, targeting serious crimes and public order maintenance. The proactive patrols and checks resulted in the arrest of four individuals for offenses including speeding, driving under the influence, begging, drug possession, and possession of stolen property.
During the operations, 415 drivers and 137 passengers were stopped and inspected, alongside 45 establishment checks that led to five complaints. Traffic enforcement was notable, with 185 traffic violations recorded, including 74 for speeding, six vehicles impounded, and eight traffic cases under investigation. Alcohol and drug tests resulted in two positive cases each.
These ongoing efforts reflect the police’s commitment to crime prevention and public safety, featuring increased presence, targeted inspections, and prompt operational responses aimed at enhancing citizens’ sense of security and safeguarding public order.
