Police are currently investigating two fires that occurred early Thursday morning at business premises in Astromeritis and Germasogeia. The first fire broke out shortly after midnight at a mini market in Astromeritis, causing damage to the interior before being extinguished by the Fire Service. The cost of the damage is still unknown. Morphou CID has taken over the investigation.

Shortly before 3:00 a.m., a second fire was reported at a betting shop in Germasogeia. Local residents managed to contain the flames before they could spread significantly, although the blaze still caused damage to the glass storefront and walls. The Limassol CID is continuing the inquiry into the cause and circumstances of this fire. Examinations at both scenes are ongoing.
