The Cyprus Police intensified their presence and operations nationwide last night, conducting organized patrols in key urban areas to prevent serious crimes and ensure public order. These proactive efforts resulted in the arrest of 10 individuals on charges including illegal residence, burglary, and theft.

Throughout the night, authorities stopped 312 vehicles and checked 430 drivers and passengers. Additionally, 31 establishments were inspected, leading to two reported violations. Traffic enforcement actions led to 152 citations, notably 61 for speeding, while one driver tested positive in alcohol checks and another in preliminary drug tests.

Police also impounded two vehicles during these operations, which are part of ongoing efforts to maintain public safety through enhanced patrols and targeted checks aimed at crime prevention and control.
