The Direct Democracy party has officially opened applications for parliamentary aides and staff, announced party leader Fidias Panayiotou on Thursday. The party is looking to fill multiple positions and is welcoming applicants with or without prior political experience. Panayiotou emphasized a merit-based hiring process, stating that interviews will be conducted to select the best candidates without relying on personal connections.

Founded just seven months ago, Direct Democracy secured 5.4% of the vote in the recent legislative elections, winning four parliamentary seats. Its young leader, 26-year-old Fidias Panayiotou, who gained recognition as a TikToker and independent candidate for the European Parliament, expressed enthusiasm about expanding the party's team to work towards substantial changes in Cyprus.
