🪦 61-Year-Old Cleaner Falls to Death in Limassol, Investigation Underway
A 61-year-old cleaning worker, Diana Tsilidou, tragically died after falling from the fourth floor of a commercial building in Limassol. The incident occurred on Friday when Tsilidou, hailing from Georgia, plummeted approximately 15 metres into the building's underground car park. Tsilidou was attempting to clean the glass panes by stepping onto an external ledge when she bypassed a safety barrier. CCTV footage captured her holding onto a window frame, losing her balance shortly after.
A joint investigation by the police and the Limassol District Department of Labour Inspection is currently underway to determine if workplace health and safety protocols were followed. The investigation also includes reviews of witness statements and cleaner training and equipment provisions by the cleaning agency and property management.
