Osterreichischer Lloyd commemorated three significant milestones in Limassol at a Captain’s Gala held at the Parklane Resort. This special evening celebrated 190 years since its establishment, 75 years since the company's re-establishment in Vienna, and the 75th birthday of Chairman, CEO, and Partner, Capt. Eberhard Koch. The event featured a theme of a symbolic voyage from Trieste to Venice aboard the historic MV Baron Bruck, enhancing the atmosphere with elements of old Adriatic passenger travel.

The gala was hosted by Julia Paczkowska, the group managing director, who functioned as both cruise director and master of ceremony. The evening included speeches, maritime history narratives, and personal acknowledgments, with guests such as Shipping Deputy Minister Marina Hadjimanolis and Cyprus Union of Shipowners president Polys Hajioannou in attendance. Throughout the event, maritime elements, music, and visual storytelling were used to link the company’s storied past with its present, concluding with a surprise birthday cake for Capt. Koch.
